The Deutsche Bundesstiftung Umwelt (DBU), based in Osnabrück, maintains a scholarship programme with 19 countries (Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Kaliningrad oblast, Romania, Slovak Republic, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Serbia, Albania, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Montenegro) in Central and Eastern Europe. The aim of the programme is to provide university graduates with a further professional qualification to solve tasks in environmental protection and nature conservation in their respective home countries.
The scholarship lasts six to twelve months and includes an intensive German language course lasting several weeks. Host institutions in Germany can be universities, research institutes, ministries, companies or associations. The application requirements and scholarship benefits can be found on our homepage https://www.dbu.de/stipendien_international . Please also see the attached flyer.
Since the year 2009, also university graduates from Serbia can apply for a scholarship in Germany. So far we have been able to award 45 scholarships to Serbian university graduates. In order to announce the CEE scholarship programme of the DBU in Serbia until the next application deadline on 05th September 2020, we would like to ask you to include us as a funding organisation on your homepage or to refer to our programme in case of inquiries from university graduates regarding further education opportunities.
The deadlines will be 05th of March and 05th of September yearly.
