Master program "Global Food Law: Sustainability Challenges and Innovation"

The Embassy of Italy in collaboration with the University of Parma is organizing an event connected to the university's newly established Master program "Global Food Law: Sustainability Challenges and Innovation".

Global Food Law is an interdisciplinary, English-taught program designed to train food officials and legal advisors. It is part of the Food For Future project within the University’s Department of Law, Political, and International Studies.

The event in Belgrade, set to take place in the spring, will be structured as either a mini-course or a master class.

It is aimed at students and scholars from Serbian universities and research organizations, as well as professionals in the food industry, including legal experts from private companies, ministry officials, and government agency representatives.

In agreement with the project coordinator, Professor Scaffardi, we invite you to contribute to the design and organization of the event by, for instance, providing comments and suggestions to the draft program below:

INTENSIVE PROGRAMME (2 days – 9:00 – 12:45 / 14:00 – 17:00 – 4 speakers):

Day 1:

9:00 – 10:45: The European Union Institutional Framework

11:00 – 12:45: EU Enlargement and the Effects on EU and National Food Law

14:00 – 17:00: Agri-Food Criminal Law: A Presentation

Day 2:

9:00 – 10:45: Food Information to Consumers

11:00 – 12:45: Building a Food Label

14:00 – 17:00: Innovation in the Agri-Food Sector

The Intensive Program combines frontal lectures with more interactive activities based on the active involvement of participants and aiming at applying the notions learned during the frontal lessons.

University of Parma is also open to discuss possible academic cooperation in the areas of the Master program.
