In order to enhance disaster awareness, foster cultural interaction, and promote a culture of collaborative work within the Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform, a competition will be organized among university students focusing on disaster and emergency/disaster response and search and rescue teams. This initiative aims to facilitate more effective participation in disaster and emergency activities, while also increasing disaster awareness among university students.

This competition, titled "Search and Rescue Competition Among Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform Universities," will take place from May 20th to May 26th, 2024, at the Karaağaç Campus of Trakya University*. The schedule for the competition is as follows:

Trakya and Balkan Countries Championship May 20th-26th, 2024 / Edirne

The planned "Inter-University Search and Rescue Competition" will be open to participation from Balkan Universities. The competition, held under the name "Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform Championship," will have transportation, accommodation, and meal expenses covered by the Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform (Türkiye).

The participation of your university's disaster and emergency/disaster response and search and rescue teams in this event would be a source of pride for both your university and the Balkan Cities Cooperation Platform for the support provided to this significant event.
